The major news I have for 2018 is that I will be wearing my first logo on my golf shirts. I acquired a deal with the Advocates Pro Golf Tour to play in all of their events and represent them in all other golf related events. I’m excited to be able to advocate for minority golf. It’s such a huge deal in professional golf with the lack of minorities on the PGA Tour, the Advocates Pro Golf Tour wants to push that forward.

The grind doesn’t stop. During the summer I seem get more things done, maybe it’s because of the extra hours on daylight. My day mostly consists of waking up early, going to the gym, and either playing golf, working with The First Tee Dallas, or doing things to grow my business and brand.
I am growing and learning right now. I’m continuing to keep my head high and reach for the stars. With God, influential people and positive people in my life, and always being willing to help somebody else along the way I know that anything is possible.
Looking back now I see how you can’t let external factors influence what you are doing, but that is something you have to mentally prepare for before you even tee the ball up to start.
I went from missing three cuts in a row to winning twice in two months....Having faith, setting goals, and working a schedule has really helped me continue to work through all the obstacles and setbacks...I’m happy in this moment with those victories. It makes me feel like God is seeing all the hard work I am putting in and blessing me for it. Thank you God.
When it comes down to it golf is hard, but I have made the choice to play this game professionally. So, no matter the results, I have to keep faith that God is orchestrating all of this and that my time will come.
I always hear stories about guys that miss getting status on the PGA Tour by 1 shot, I’m one of those guys now. It is an interesting how I got there. Over the past three years I’ve done 4 different PGA Sanctioned Qualifying Schools. To further explain, a PGA Sanctioned tour is any tour that feeds into the PGA Tour through ranking or money earned. You have PGA Canada, PGA China, PGA Latin America, and Web.com Tour that fall under this umbrella. I have done all four now, but PGA Latin America is the closest I have been to receiving status as a PGA Tour member.
